Groovy Chick My Fashion World review: Groovy Chick My Fashion World
A fun, colourful game that ends all too soon, My Fashion World is a game for tweens that could be improved by being a little longer.
While their male counterparts play toy guns with shoot-'em-up style video games, tween girls enjoy a digital diet of a more refined nature. Groovy Chick My Fashion World lets the player assume the role of stylist where you turn fashion zeros into traffic-stopping glamours.
The Good
The Bad
The Bottom Line
In the game you play Fleur, a stylist who has just opened a beauty salon, offering styling and make-up tips including wardrobe, hairdressing and manicure options. My Fashion World is played in story mode and once you've finished the game, a freestyle designer mode becomes available.
Here at CNET Australia we employ experts to give us their unmatched opinions on a variety of topics. When it came to reviewing My Fashion World we turned to someone with far more experience in this niche category of DS titles. Katie King is nine years old from Sydney and enjoys gaming on her PlayStation, PC and DS, as well as singing, reading, swimming and soccer. She gave us the lowdown on My Fashion World.
I found My Fashion World to be very fun and easy. The graphics are very good and I found it easy to understand the pictures. The levels (days working in the salon) were very interesting and I found the clothes that you are able to choose from to be very fun and interesting too. The only thing I found disappointing was that the levels stopped a bit too soon.
This game was very satisfying and enjoyable to play and I hope everyone else who plays it feels the same way.
Overall
As Katie points out, this fun, colourful game ends all too soon. There is the designer mode that could extend the replay value of Groovy Chick My Fashion World, but it's a shame you don't get more bang for your buck, considering how much fun Katie had playing it.
