Update out; addresses GlobalFax conflict Keyspan USB Serial Adapter 1.71b5 has been released. John Hammer notes that this new release fixed a conflict with his Global Village internal modem software for a G3/BW. John adds: "With the new Keyspan driver, I can even download images from my Sony DSC-F1 digital camera using the Keyspan device." Global Village has release a patch that fixes this previously reported GlobalFax problem for the TelePort 56K V.90 external modem.

Keyspan and Speed Doubler conflict? John Hammer also claims there is a conflict between Keyspan's USB (and USB PDA) Serial Adapters and Connectix Speed Doubler. He writes: "If either or both of the two Keyspan products and their respective software modules are enabled, and Speed Doubler's Faster Emulation is enabled, the computer crashes at startup immediately after Speed Doubler's icon appears. This crash requires use of the reset button, and the computer then starts up normally, bypassing the crash. If the Keyspan hardware is not present, of if Speed Doubler's Faster Emulation is disabled, the problem vanishes." [I have not confirmed this. Francois Gladu reports not having this problem.]
