Claris Emailer: wanted not dead but alive

Last time, we posted an item that indicated that there would be no further development of Claris Emailer and (even worse) Emailer might be incompatible with the upcoming Mac OS 8.5.

We received numerous replies from dedicated Emailer users (count me in this group!) who were alarmed at the prospect that they might have to give up using this superb program - if they upgraded the OS. If any one at Apple is reading this, please take note: don't abandon Emailer!

Meanwhile, we have received several reports from Emailer users with access to Mac OS 8.5 beta versions. They claim that they are successfully using Emailer. We checked with a contact at Apple and they too report success in using Emailer with Mac OS 8.5. So reports of this incompatibility may be exaggerated. I hope to get more official word back from Apple within the next few days. If anything new develops, I will of course post it.
