How to enable Shared Photo Streams on Apple TV
The latest Apple TV update brings Shared Photo Streams to your TV. Here's how to turn them on.

Last week Apple released an update to the Apple TV, bringing plenty of iOS 6-like features to it. One of those features is the ability to view Shared Photo Stream albums on your TV. You'll need to make sure your Apple TV is running the most current version of the software by going into Settings > General > About. The software version should be 5.1. If it's not running 5.1, go back to the General settings section and select Update Software.
- To enable Shared Photo Streams, select the Photo Stream icon from the main screen of the Apple TV. You may be asked to select an account or log in to the account you'd like to use Photo Stream on your Apple TV with. Using the same Apple ID you use on your iOS device will ensure that you have access to the same photos across all of your devices.
- Once you're logged in, your Photo Stream and Shared Photo Stream albums should be included in the list on the right side of the screen. If not, go to the bottom of the list and select Settings.
- Under the Settings in Photo Stream you can disable (or enable) Photo Stream, while leaving Shared Photo Streams on. The same can be said for turning on or off Shared Photo Streams while leaving your main Photo Stream feed on. In other words, neither service is dependent upon the other being enabled.

When viewing a shared Photo Stream album, you'll be able to view comments, or like a photo. I haven't been able to figure out how to leave a comment on a photo using both the included Apple TV remote and the Remote iOS app on the iPhone. If you figure it out, please leave a comment below and I will update the post.
