How to add your favorite sports teams to Google Now

Google Now was recently updated, adding the capability for you to add your favorite sports teams and receive score updates.

Google Now is a bit creepy at times, there's no doubt about it. But, it's a fun service to use and it definitely provides some value to your Android experience.

Yesterday, Google released an update to the Search app, which powers Google Now. One of the features in the update allows Google Now users to add their favorite sports teams to the service, without having to rely on search history for your teams to show up in the app.

  1. To add your favorite sports team, launch Google Now and scroll to the bottom of your list of cards.

  9. At the bottom of the current list, if you have one, will be the option to "Add Team." Select it and then search for your favorite team's name. Repeat this step until all of your favorite teams are entered.

Once you have your teams added, you'll receive score alerts before, during, and after the game depending on your settings in the Google Now app.
