Getting started with Pinterest for Android
Pinterest is now available for Android smartphones, tablets, and the Kindle Fire. We'll show you how to get started.

The tablet-optimized app is now available for your Android smartphone and tablet, as well as the Kindle Fire. Here's how to get started with Pinterest for Android:
Creating new pins
You can create new pins from your
Android device via its camera or from a photo in your gallery by tapping on Create pin from the main screen.
If you want to create a pin from the Web, tap on your browser's Share button, then select Create pin. Next, select the photo you want to pin, then choose the details of your pin, like the board you want to pin it to, the description, and whether you want to share it on Twitter and Facebook. Keep in mind that sharing the pin on Facebook or Twitter will require you to authorize Pinterest on those services.

Viewing boards and pins with the Pinterest app is pretty straight-forward. To view the details of a pin, simply tap on it. You can then choose to repin it, like it, or leave a comment. You can also swipe the main screen over to the right to search and explore other pins.

The Pinterest app also gives you easy access to your own boards and profile. Swiping over to the very right screen will display basic info, including the number of your followers and the number of of people you follow. You can also see the most recent activity of your pins. Tapping on your name will display four tabs -- boards, pins, likes, and about. The about section displays your profile, but as Jaymar Cabebe noted in his review, the Pinterest app does not allow you to edit your profile or boards (though they're working on it).
