How to factory reset the Nokia Lumia 900

If you're selling your Lumia 900 or are having issues with it and want to start fresh, you'll need to do a factory reset. Here's how.

Doing a factory reset on the Nokia Lumia 900 takes just a few minutes, and enables you to sell your device without worrying about your personal information being accessed by the new owner.

Here's how to reset your Lumia 900 to its original factory state:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Scroll down to the About listing and tap on it.
  3. At the bottom of the screen (you may have to scroll) you'll see a button titled "Reset Your Phone." Tap on it.
  4. Confirm, twice, you are sure you want to reset your device.

Your device will then reboot and wipe all information stored on it. When it comes back up, it will be at the original Windows Phone welcome screen you saw when you powered it on for the first time.

Pretty simple, right? Just make sure you have your information backed up before you reset your device. You will lose everything during the reset process.
