Use Bump to transfer pics from iPhone, Android to your computer

With a simple Bump, you can transfer photos form your iPhone or Android device.

Bump, an app normally associated with transferring contact info and photos by physically bumping devices together, is also capable of transferring photos between your Android device or iPhone with your computer. The process is simple, free, and only takes a few minutes to set up.

  1. Begin by installing the app (Android | iPhone). After you have installed the app and set up your contact card (optional), swipe to the right to view your photos.

  3. Begin selecting the photos you would like to transfer to your computer. Once you're happy with your selection, set your device aside and open up the browser on your computer.

  5. Navigate to photos.bu.mp and grant the Web site access to your location. Make sure your computer and phone are on the same network, then Bump your device on your space bar.

  7. If done correctly, (the accelerometer comes into play to ensure the device has indeed been bumped. You can't press the space bar while your device sites idle on your desk), you should then be prompted both in the app and by your browser to confirm you want the two devices to connect.

  9. Once approved on both devices, the transfer process will begin. After a few seconds, the photos you selected will be presented to you. You can then download them and save them to your computer, share them by copying a link to them, or send them to Facebook.

There are plenty of other ways to transfer photos from your device(s) to your computer, but the Bump method may be the most engaging (if not fun) of them all.
