How to share e-book passages on the Kindle Fire
Sharing e-book passages on the Kindle Fire has been a highly anticipated feature of Amazon's popular tablet. We'll show you how to use it.

Among the new features in the recent Kindle Fire software update to 6.3, the ability to share passages was a highly anticipated one, as noted by Donald Bell. Kindle Fire users can now share parts of an e-book with members of the Amazon community, and with friends on Facebook and Twitter. Here's how:
Select the passage to share
When you get to a part of your e-book that you want to share, select it by long-pressing on a part of the text, which will highlight it and place brackets at the beginning and the end of the highlighted text. Drag the starting bracket to the beginning of the section you want to share and the ending bracket to the end. When you have the entire passage highlighted, tap on the share button that appears above the highlighted section. You can also leave yourself a note or keep the section highlighted for later reference.

Share to Amazon, Facebook, or Twitter
After you've tapped on the share button, the sharing page will appear. From here, you can write in comments and select where you want to share the passage to. Tapping the orange share button will automatically share your passage and comments to the Amazon community, who are reading the same e-book, and to your Twitter and Facebook timelines, if you've selected them for sharing.
