Schedule e-mails to be sent later with Right Inbox

Right Inbox allows Gmail users to schedule when an e-mail will be sent, ensuring your e-mail is received exactly when you want it to be.

Scheduling an e-mail message to be delivered at the exact moment you want it to is possible, as Rob Lightner showed you with the freemium browser extension, Boomerang.

Right Inbox is a new extension for Chrome and Firefox, available right now, and is currently free throughout the open beta.

It allows you to schedule Gmail messages to be delivered at the time of your choosing. Installing the extension literally takes under a minute.

  • Visit RightInbox.com to install the extension for your browser of choice.

  • After installing, when you compose an e-mail you should see a new Send Later button located next to the relabeled Send Now button.

  • When you are finished composing your e-mail, clicking on the Send Later button will present you with various options of when to schedule your message.

You can pick a standard 1- to 4-hour delay, a generalized tomorrow morning or afternoon, as well as schedule the delivery of the e-mail at a specific date, time, and time zone.

  • Once your e-mail is scheduled, it will appear in your Drafts folder with the scheduled time appended to the subject of the e-mail. Once it comes time to send the message, the subject will be returned to its original state automatically.

By scheduling an e-mail you can ensure your e-mail is received at the exact moment you want it to be. If you are famliar with the recipient's schedule, having an important e-mail arrive during downtime will help ensure it's read.

Keep in mind, Right Inbox is a beta product, so some issues and bugs are to be expected. I experienced an issue of not being able to schedule an e-mail, which cleared itself up after a few minutes.
