How to unlock three hidden themes in Clear, the new iOS task app

The top app in the App Store has three hidden themes. Here's how to unlock them.

Clear, which is a task-managing app for the iPhone, launched and almost instantly became No. 1 in the App Store.

The rich UI, mixed sound effects, and a long list of usable gestures, make for a unique experience on your iPhone. There really isn't another app out there like it.

In the settings for the app you will find themes, five in total. One thing you may not know is that there are actually three (that I can find/know of) themes that can be unlocked by the user in the app itself. Here is what each of them looks like, as well as how to get them.

Tweetbot
You can unlock the Tweetbot theme simply by having Tweetbot installed on your iPhone. This probably isn't worth buying Tweetbot unless you are looking for a new Twitter client anyway.

Scorched
To unlock the Scorched theme, you will need to follow the @UseClear Twitter account from the Follow The Team option in the app. Go into Settings > Follow The Team. From there, tap on the UseClear account and grant the app permission to access your Twitter account. Once you have successfully followed, you'll receive a notification of the theme being unlocked.

Socialite
Unlocking the Socialite team will require you getting some work done--literally. After completing your 100th task (roughly) you will be asked if you would like to share Clear with your friends on Twitter. Once you send the tweet, the Socialite theme is unlocked.

There you have it, three hidden themes for Clear and how to unlock them. I couldn't figure out the Socialite theme, so I did some digging on Twitter and eventually found a post detailing the steps to unlock it. Thanks, Floris.

An update has been released for Clear that includes seven new themes. You can read about how to unlock them here.

If you know of another theme, please feel free to share it below in the comments!

Update, 8:38 a.m. PT: Updated the post to include a link to the seven new Clear themes.
