The Kindle Fire is a great tablet for watching videos. Streaming videos from Amazon look and sound great, but what if you want to put your own videos on the Kindle Fire?

One of the simplest ways we've found to get your own, DRM-free videos onto the Kindle Fire is by using Miro. Here's how:

Step 1: Download and install Miro. Make sure to install file support for the types of video files you want to be able to transfer to your Kindle Fire.

Step 2: Add your video to Miro by going to File > Open and selecting your video.

Step 3: Connect the Kindle Fire to your computer using a micro-USB cable.

Step 4: When the Kindle Fire shows up in the "Connect" section of the left pane, drag your video over to it with your mouse.

That's it. Miro will convert your video file to an .mp4 file, then transfer it to the Video folder on the Kindle Fire. To watch the video on the Kindle Fire, go to Apps, choose the Gallery app, then select your video file.
