How to create a banner photo for your Google+ profile
Add a personal touch to your Google+ profile by creating a segmented banner header.
Google+ has a cool five-photo lineup near the top of your profile page, so why not utilize it for something awesome?
Bored of five random images? Then it's time to try this free Web tool. You don't need to install any fancy programs; all you need is a Web browser, a large picture you like (of yourself or anything else), and a few minutes of your time.

Step 1: Head to this site and click on the Upload Your Picture button.
Step 2: Locate the picture you want to use for the banner. This image should be at least 125 pixels high and a 700 pixels wide.

Step 3: Move the selection tool to the area you like the best for your new banner, then click the Render Images button.
Step 4: Right-click and save each of the smaller images that appear. I recommend renaming the images, even something as simple as "1," "2," etc.

Step 5: Log in to your Google+ account and click on the Profile icon at the top of the page (or click your name).

Step 6: Click the Edit profile button near the top-right-hand side, and then click on the photo space under your name. Now upload the pictures in order from left to right and click OK.

(Optional) Step 7: You can choose to include the large profile picture to the far left in the banner if you'd like, or you can skip it and just include five of the six images--your call.
If you're unhappy with the way your banner is cut or looks, you can always delete the images by clicking on them and then mousing over each one for a delete option. Just rinse and repeat until you get your desired look.
