How to create a photo gift CD with Picasa
Google Picasa offers a great way to show off a collection of photos with its slideshow option. Follow these steps to learn how to make personalized CDs to share.
Ever wish you could share albums of photos with less-than-tech-savvy friends and family?
Google Picasa offers a great way to show off a collection of photos with its slideshow option. This will be especially handy for those holiday moments coming up when picture-taking is at a yearlong high.
To begin, you need to have Picasa installed, as well as at least one album or collection of photos you'd like to make into a gift CD/DVD. If you plan on including a slideshow option on the disc, you should also make sure the pictures are displayed in your preferred order within Picasa, as that's how they will be organized in the slideshow.

Step 1: Load Picasa and select the album you'd like to use for the CD.

Step 2: Open the Create menu at the top of the window and select Create a Gift CD.

(Optional) Step 3: Add additional albums or folders to the gift CD by selecting Add More from the Selection and Settings area at the bottom of the window. From this pane you can also select to include a slideshow option.

Step 4: Give a name to your CD in the text area labeled CD Name (located in the Name the Gift CD pane).
Note: You can choose to add a copy of Picasa on the CD as well by selecting the Include Picasa option in this pane.

Step 5: Insert a blank CD and click Burn Disc in order to burn everything you've selected to your gift CD.
Now you can share the CD with friends and family wanting to see your album(s) of pictures.
