Google's recent doodle reminded us of the incredible talent that was Freddie Mercury.  If you go to Spotify to listen to his music, you'll notice that his first solo album, "Mr. Bad Guy," is somehow missing from Spotify's immense music library.  If you happen to own the album, or other music that you want to wirelessly sync to your Android device, here's how to bring it to Spotify:

Add local music to Spotify

Step 1: Log in to Spotify on your computer.

Step 2: Click on Edit, then Preferences or type CTRL+P.

Step 3: Under the "Local Files" section, click the "Add Source..." button to import your own songs to the Spotify program.

Sync local music to Android

Step 1: Make sure that your Android smartphone or tablet is connected to the same network as your computer.

Step 2: Log in to Spotify on your Android device.

Step 3: In the Spotify desktop program, you'll notice your Android device is now listed under "Devices."

Step 4: Click on the device name to display all your Spotify playlists, including "Local Files."

Step 5: Click the check box next to "Local files" to start syncing your local music over to your Android device.

Step 6: After syncing has completed, you'll see your music in the "Local Files" folder of your Android device.

That's it.  Now you can supplement Spotify's amazing selection of music with some of your own, and without having to fiddle with cables.  Happy birthday, Freddie!
