Google Sites now has the ability to automatically optimize sites for viewing on mobile devices (iOS 3.0+ and Android 2.2+). We'll show you how to turn this feature on as well as how to preview the mobile view right from your desktop. Let's get started.
Turn on automatic mobile rendering
From your Google Sites page, click on the More actions button, then select Manage site.
In the left column under Site settings, select General.
Check the box next to Automatically adjust site to mobile phones, located near the bottom of the page, then click on the Save changes button.
Preview the mobile view
From the main Google Site page, click the More actions button, then select Preview page as viewer.
An orange rectangle will appear at the top of the page with Desktop selected by default. Select Mobile to see how your Google Sites page will look on a mobile device.
That's it. Now you know how to configure your Google Sites page so that devices running iOS 3.0+ or Android 2.2+ will display optimized versions for those devices.
