Mission Control was touted by Apple prior to Lion's release as a feature that would increase OS X user productivity by providing quick access to various windows and apps. Instead, many users have found the feature lacking, specifically lacking the ability to rearrange desktop spaces and full-screen apps in their order of preference.… Read more

A true fix to this issue will require Microsoft to update its software to properly contend with invalid certificates if and when they arise, but until then if you need to use the software you can implement … Read more
When OS X Lion was released there were a few outstanding bugs that users noticed and emailed me about or described on the Apple Discussion boards. Initially Apple quickly released the OS X 10.7.1 update to address some of these quickly, but this was mainly to fix immediate compatibility and did not address some prominent issues that users were experiencing.
Since the 10.7.1 release in mid-August, Apple has had several months to address some of the major bugs affecting users that we have covered, so let's see what has been addressed by Apple so far:… Read more

Apple has issued yet another developer release of its upcoming OS 10.7.2 update; however, unlike previous versions this latest build has been dubbed "Golden Master," which means that unless any major bugs or flaws are found in this latest bout of testing, then this build will be issued to the public. In addition to today's announcement that iCloud will be available on October 12, the Golden Master release suggests that the OS update will be released within the next eight days.

Apple's development of the upcoming 10.7.2 release is progressing, with another beta build being released for testing today. As we have been mentioning regarding previous developer releases, the update will contain support for Apple's new iCloud services, which seem to be the focus of these testing efforts. Like the last build from less than a week ago, this latest one was released with "no known issues," meaning Apple may be in the final phases of testing before releasing OS X 10.7.2 to the public.
Apparently in addition to the new OS X … Read more
A couple of weeks ago when Apple began ramping up its releases of beta builds of OS X 10.7.2, I made a premature guess that this indicated the final public release of the update was very near at hand. Two weeks later Apple is still issuing new developer builds of the update, suggesting it is working hard at refining the build and ensuring that the new features in it--namely those relating to iCloud--are as bug-free as possible. In addition to new features, the build should address a number of issues that have cropped up involving the initial OS … Read more
