Google's +1 button to add content recommendations

Google is preparing a new +1 feature that will present users with other content recommendations when they hover over the +1 button with their mouse.

This could help deliver increased clicks for Web site as users will be presented with more content options similar to the content they just viewed. As an example, a visitor to Google's Chrome Web Store clicking the +1 on the Gmail app would see suggestions for apps like Offline Google Mail, Google Calendar, and Picasa:

Google+ iPhone app updated with search, better photo uploads

Google has tweaked its Google+ app for the iPhone to add built-in search and a couple of features previously available only on its Web site.

Users of the social network can now search for specific people or posts, just as they can on the Google+ site. A search field appears at the top of the mobile app where one can enter a query by name or keyword.

Google+ Badges can tie your Web site to your Google+ page

Following last week's debut of Google+ Pages for business, the search giant is kicking off a couple of extra options to help companies promote themselves and their pages.

First, Google+ badges can let people add your company to their circles and recommend your page via the +1 button directly from your Web site, as described in a Google blog post last week.

Google is enhancing its familiar Google +1 button to give people more control over the content they share and who they share it with.

Found on many a Web site these days, the +1 button lets people signed in to their Google account share and recommend specific content with their friends and contacts that can then appear as recommended pages in Google's search results.
