Nokia just shut its coolest phone out of more than half the U.S. market.

AT&T said today it will sell Nokia's Lumia 920 and 820 Windows Phone smartphones, just the latest in the carrier's increasingly crowded lineup of mobile devices.

The phone is expected to hit the market in November, although AT&T wasn't more specific. The company also didn't provide any pricing information. The Lumia 920, however, will be exclusive to AT&T.

AT&T and Nokia will announce a partnership on the upcoming Lumia 920 later today, according to a report.

AT&T will carry the Lumia 920 in the U.S., Bloomberg is reporting today, citing sources. AT&T won't immediately sell the Windows Phone 8-based device, according to Bloomberg's sources, but it's likely the device will be made available to its customers sooner rather than later.

I misread a headline just now.

It was something about Apple saying the purple streaks in iPhone 5 photos were normal. I thought it said Apple was going to release a purple iPhone 5.

Nokia Lumia 920 pricing abroad will have little effect on U.S. cost

High global prices for the Windows Phone 8 Nokia Lumia 920 are causing a stir for outlets reporting U.S. dollar equivalents ranging from $643 to $860 in Germany, Italy, Russia, and Sweden -- but U.S. buyers considering the phone have little cause to worry.

Although international price tags are said to be 10 percent to 25 percent higher than that of high-end rival Samsung Galaxy S3, according to pricing information gathered from German, Italian, and Swedish Web retailers, Nokia's U.S. pricing is guaranteed to cost less than 50 percent of those fees.
