Dan Dobberpuhl, the PA Semi founder and CEO who came to Apple with the acquisition of his company, has apparently jumped ship to work at a chip-related start-up.

Apple acquired PA Semi in April of 2008 for $278 million. At the time, Apple CEO Steve Jobs said the company was purchased to design system-on-chips for iPhones and iPods. Dobberpuhl was the leader of the team Apple hired.

More clues are being discovered in hardware and software leading to speculation that the iPad can support a front-facing iSight camera.

According to PowerbookMedic's blog, the site received photos of what are supposed to be the final revision iPad midframe. The pictures appear similar to the ones that MissionRepair released about a month ago.

As the iPhone OS ramps up to accommodate the upcoming iPad release, many are hoping for last-minute surprises, including a camera for every iPad. According to 9to5Mac, however, beta 4 of iPhone OS 3.2 isn't exciting so far.

The graphics in the previous SDK that lead everyone to think that the iPad might support a camera are now gone, according to screenshots posted on the Web site.

The only surprise, according to 9to5Mac, is possible new multitouch gestures: triple tap and a long press.

I'm among the many who will purchase an iPad on April 3. I'm not some huge Apple fanboy, but I did have a hand in a successful iPhone app last year and plan on creating more this year. I'll need an iPad to test it out and show it off.

Earlier today, Apple released another update to the iPhone SDK for the iPad, bringing the current version of that SDK to 3.2, beta 4. The update follows one released several weeks ago.
