Here's something you can't get with an iPad: 250GB of internal storage. Archos' upcoming Android "Honeycomb" 3.2 tablet will pack a 250GB hard disk drive that's been tweaked to perform more like a flash drive.

The Archos G9 will sport a 250GB Seagate Momentus Thin 2.5-inch hard drive--a mere 7 millimeters thick. Though not as compact as a 1.8-inch HDD (like Apple once used in its MacBook Air and iPod), it's not as expensive either.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Touchwiz update finally added native screenshot support--hoorah! Here's how to use it and share the screenshots, all without having to connect it to your computer:

Owners of Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet will receive an update starting tomorrow that will deliver the TouchWiz UX interface and a host of other enhancements.

Sent OTA (over the air), the update package will include Samsung's revamped Media Hub service, Samsung Kies 2.0 support for PCs and Macs, and mobile features for the enterprise crowd.

Google is launching a series of workshops designed to grab developers who can create high-quality Android apps.

Set up by the folks at Google's Android Developer Relations, the Android Developer Labs (ADLs) will try to show developers how they can optimize their apps for Android tablets, according to an Android developers blog.

An IHS-iSuppli analyst believes Android and the cadre of tablet makers that use Google's operating system won't catch up to Apple's iPad and iOS anytime soon.

Google updates Gmail, search for select tablets and smartphones

A new version of the Gmail Android application arrived last night for Android 2.2 to 2.3.3 that provides enhanced notification and sync options. If you're like me and use filters and labels to keep your inbox free of clutter, then you'll certainly appreciate version 2.3.5 of Gmail. On its surface it might not look much different, but under the hood there are plenty of new options.

Dell Streak 10 Pro debuts in China

Dell has launched its first 10-inch tablet, according to Dow Jones Newswire and Engadget.

CNET reported exclusively in June that Dell would launch its 10-inch Android tablet in China first.

This is Dell's third tablet and its first 10-inch Android Honeycomb-based tablet that competes with likes of Apple's iPad and Motorola's Xoom.

Some of the salient specifications include a thickness of 12 millimeters (0.47 inches), a weight of about 700 grams (about 1.5 pounds), edge-to-edge glass, a brushed aluminum back, a 1280-by-800 screen, front- and rear-facing cameras (including a 5-megapixel camera), full 1080p video playback, an SD slot, and an Nvidia Tegra dual-core processor, as CNET reported previously.
