That will be the first day that the Z10 hits the U.S. market, Bloomberg reported, citing two unnamed sources.
Many are keen to see how well the BlackBerry Z10 does in the U.S., which is still BlackBerry's largest market and a key indicator of its long-term prospects. The company has so far had a good start in Europe and Canada, but the U.S. will be a major test of the resilience of the BlackBerry name.

Originally reported by N4BB and echoed by mobile news sites Phone Arena and BlackBerryOS, AT&T apparently has moved up its plans to push the Z10 out to the American public. If sources close to N4B can be trusted, then BlackBerry's most advanced handset could hit the street the day after the Samsung Galaxy S4's big unveiling. … Read more
HANNOVER, Germany--In today's James Bond world, smartphones get you instant access to top-secret information. In the real world, security constraints mean mobile phones generally aren't nearly so clever or convenient.
BlackBerry and Secusmart hope to change that through a partnership that at least has won over the German federal government. It has authorized purchases of phones with the BlackBerry 10 operating system augmented with Secusmart's SD card-mounted security chips for classified communications, said Hans-Christoph Quelle, Secusmart managing director, speaking here at the CeBit technology show.
The approach uses a feature in BlackBerry 10 called Balance, which partitions … Read more
BARCELONA, Spain--AT&T has cracked open the door to Mozilla's recently unveiled Firefox mobile operating system."I think there is room for more" operating systems, said Ralph de la Vega, CEO of AT&T Mobility, in an interview with CNET. When asked whether the industry could support multiple operating systems, de la Vega affirmed the sentiment: "absolutely." Ultimately, it comes down to consumer demand, he said. If people are vocal about the desire for a Firefox phone and there's a likelihood of succeeding, AT&T will provide a device, de la … Read more

BlackBerry still has its following of loyalists but their numbers have dwindled. Even enterprise customers have transitioned to the iPhone and Android phones, a place that used to be dominated by BlackBerry.
The BlackBerry Z10 is the company's first all-touch-screen phone with a sleek design and a bigger, higher-resolution screen. Its new operating system is based purely on gestures without a physical button.
The iPhone 5 has continued to be a beast in the Prizefight ring. Even though the Samsung Galaxy S3 has surpassed the iPhone 5 in CNET editors' minds, we're facing the Z10 off against the … Read more
When you've done product launches for Nokia, regularly use an iPhone, and are now creative director of BlackBerry, perhaps one smartphone just looks like another.
Perhaps, though, when you're the new creative director of BlackBerry, it's best to leave your iPhone at home.
Otherwise, bad things might happen. Like tweeting from it. Or having someone hack it and tweet from it.
As the Verge reports, Keys today offered the profound thought: "Started from the bottom now were here," to all of her Twitter followers.
This obvious spontaneity seems to have been sent from a Twitter … Read more
I have spent the last few days explaining to those closest to me that, because of my past, I can never become the pope.
I have also told several people I can never climb Everest, turn a snake into a mongoose, or kiss Bar Refaeli.
I attribute this strange burst of negative information to the ad that BlackBerry ran during the Super Bowl.
Should you have missed it, you can't be too disappointed.
However, the company has now released a new ad -- currently running in Canada and the U.K. -- that attempts to insert a positive halo … Read more
BlackBerrys haven't always had the top cameras in the industry, but with the BlackBerry Z10's 8-megapixel camera, things are turning around.
In my tests so far, the Z10's shooter largely succeeds. Over the course of my testing period, I got some really nice outdoor shots, plus some crisp indoor photos of everything from food labels to receipts. Of course, not every indoor picture or portrait turned out great, but I found the images usable overall (check out my Z10 review for even more photos).
So let's see how it compares with two other high-quality smartphone cameras, … Read more
