Epson Stylus Photo R2880 to replace veteran R2400

Incorporating an amalgam of recent technologies that we've seen in other models, today Epson announced the Epson Stylus Photo 2880, a replacement for the 4-year-old Stylus Photo R2400, a popular printer among amateur and pro photographers.

Adobe releases DNG codec for Vista, updates spec

Today, Adobe made several announcements relating to its Digital Negative format (DNG) including the availability of the 32-bit Vista codec. You can download it here.

Adobe positions DNG, which is actually a flavor of TIFF, as a nonproprietary alternative to the variety of camera raw formats used by most of the major dSLR manufacturers, including Canon, Nikon, Sony, and Olympus. Stunning panoramics made easy with MagToo

MagToo is a service for creating really simple slide shows and interactive panoramic photos you can share on your blog or social-networking profile or by e-mail. To help put what you share into context, MagToo also throws in geotagging, letting you stamp any of the content you've added with a specific place where it was taken. Photoshop Express now Flickrs

Update: Adobe has informed us that while the new Flickr connection isn't live yet, it will be very soon. We will provide another update when we have confirmed that it is live.

When Adobe launched Photoshop Express at the end of March, it indicated that Flickr support would be next on the agenda, and today the company can cross that item off its to-do list. What's next for Flickr video?

I chatted last week with folks at Flickr to catch up on the video hosting service it launched less than a month ago.

It's proven to be popular, despite a small uprising from a portion of its diehard users that was later quelled with Yahoo-subsidized doughnuts. Flickr wouldn't share the exact number of videos that have been added, but the site is teeming with them. A casual advanced-search for videos with a space in the title yields more than 124,000 clips, but the true number is likely to be significantly larger.
