Samsung looks to be readying yet another quad-core beast of an Android, but with a more olde tyme shape: the humble flip phone.
Known as the SM-W2014, it looks like it marries the flip phone design with a top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. Because who doesn't need that much horsepower in the traditional form factor?
It's no secret that we at CNET, along with most other TV reviewers who pay attention to picture quality, love Panasonic plasmas. Just look at our current "Best TVs" list. The top four are all plasma TVs made by Panasonic.
The carrier will stock the black version of the Note phablet, which is distinguishable by its Android 4.3 operating system, top-rate quad-core processor, and smarty-pants stylus.
Customers can pick it up for $299.99 with a new, two-year service agreement. Elsewhere, the Note 3 also comes in white.
Pricing is also a heady $299.99 for the Galaxy Gear, which, with a built-in camera and microphone, voice actions, and a pedometer, is much more than your average … Read more

Samsung has won the race to be the first phone manufacturer this fall to launch a curved smartphone.
The device resembles the Galaxy S3 and S4, but it has slight dip in the middle that causes the phone to curve along a vertical axis. The phone's body itself is rigid, so it doesn't actually flex or bend -- but rather has a stationary curve that is said to fit the contours of a person's face. The … Read more

Samsung declined to comment.
The product release comes as Samsung faces a … Read more

It's not clear from the report whether Samsung is still looking at any of the companies aside from Glympse. In … Read more
President Barack Obama has decided against vetoing a possible ban on Samsung products.
Samsung requested the Obama administration veto a court-ordered ban on Samsung products that US International Trade Commission ruled infringe on two Apple patents. Bloomberg was first to report on the news on Tuesday.
The president has the power to veto decisions made by the ITC, but such moves are extremely uncommon. In August, for the first time since 1987, the Obama administration vetoed an earlier ruling by the ITC that would have seen Apple's products banned in connection with another Samsung patent-infringement case. The veto was … Read more
