How to install SSD to laptops with HDD+SSD hybrid preinstall

I bought an HP laptop with 500GB HDD+32GB SSD hybrid drive. Now I want to install a 256GB SSD. How do I do it? DO I need to remove the caching SSD to make it work? Expecting explanations. Thank you.

As far as I know, laptops only have room for one drive, so yes you would need to remove the hybrid drive that came with the computer, then use restore discs to reinstall the OS and drivers. You may need to contact HP for the restore discs or flash drive.

There is a way in some laptops to cram in another.

Just last month a buddy found a conversion tray for the CD/DVD/BD drive that lets you pop a drive in there.

So there is a way. Many folk don't use the CD/DVD/BD drive much so here's a way to have it all.
