How do I make the best, coordinated use of my devices?

I have an old, very basic Dell PC, (about 4 yrs. old--Vista Home Basic...very simple) just purchased a Samsung Chromebook, and a Samsung Galaxy Reverb (From Virgin Mobile for only $99.00--Thank you, CNET.), I have an old Kindle, and recevied a Kindle Fire HD for Christmas. How do I coordinate all of these devices? It seems they all duplicate each other in some ways. What do I need to carry with me at all times? How do I save my photos in a safe, safe place? Cloud? Amazon Cloud? Google Cloud? Are they the same thing? HELP--I'm a novice, and I'm 66 yrs. old, but I'm having fun!

Samsung Galaxy what? There are phones called Galaxy and tablets called Galaxy. But it are different devices.

I'd start with only carrying a phone and see what functionality you're missing.

You've likely read what InstaGram tried to pull just a few weeks ago. -> http://news.cnet.com/8301-1023_3-57560758-93/instagram-hit-with-proposed-class-action-lawsuit/ is sadly a typical response.

Here I keep such on my backups and for my photo collection another copy on a memory stick for safety.

These are your files and your choice to see if the cloud will suffice. I wouldn't rely on them today.
