How do I get voice commands when I am driving? I set my phone to driving mode using bluetooth. When I am making a call I get a series of bells and the phone displays questions. All this defeats the purpose of hands free communication. What do I need to do differently?

Such as noise, how good the bluetooth device is and more. I can't cure that but try a wired headset first to see if it's the usual bluetooth cheap thing issue.

Did you try other apps? Such as http://www.google.com/mobile/voice-actions/ ?

Did you test this out in a quiet office first?

Voice recognition apps

Bob,

I have the latest Google Android system and it works pretty well at responding to my commands. My need is to have the phone respond with voice. If you check out the video for the app recommended you will here the bells the phone uses as a response. While driving here in California hands free I need to not be checking the phone to see what I need to do next. My older phone, Samsung Voyager, had this feature built into the voice recognition software and I find it hard to believe that this feature has been removed. I just have not been able to activate it..

As you try more phones you do find that what one had is not in the next and more.

With smart phones I find myself installing a little app for this or that.
