receiving text messages from an iphone

when i received text msgs from an iphone to my tracfone samsung 390, I have to "retrieve" them, and with another step, view them....can this be expedited with some setting on their the iphone or my tracfone? All the steps use 3x the minutes up on my phone.

With Tracfone that's how they get the minutes.
